Requirements:
Royal Garden Hotel had a number of requirements, including:
- Provide an outstanding IPTV solution integrated to the PMS
- Provide Guests with the ability to seamlessly cast from their mobile devise to the TV’s
- Provide an IP Phone solution wo work reliably over the Wi-Fi system
- Utilising the Wi-Fi solution to implement the Internet of Things (IoT) solutions
- Provide an end-to-end managed support solution working with the in-house IT team

Solution:
For the TV migration our previous IPTV system had failed us, with pixelations happening and the guest experience suffering from the provider not being able to find a solution.
Fairland worked with their close partner Nevaya to design and roll out our new IPTV solution, installing the new image on to the 400 TVs within a 10-day window – whilst we still had guests staying in all rooms. The Fairland team worked closely with the front desk to manage room access and the project went very smoothly. Nevaya then worked with our marketing team to brand the TV’s for our guests and integrate to our PMS.
The recent Ruckus Wi-Fi upgrade allowed us to add IoT licenses to the Ruckus portal and to facilitate the Assa Abloy integration – which allows maintenance to be able to view battery life of the door locks and be alerted when they need replacing.
The phone system was still an analogue system with cabling to all the rooms. Over the years the cables had corroded meaning that we regularly had issues where phones stopped working. Royal Garden Hotel needed a better solution. Fairland’s cloud hosted IP Phone system was selected as the best solution for the hotel, allowing Front of House & Back of house systems to be replaced, and delivering a dynamic DTMF solution.
